My husband and I were immediately drawn to the house of Sphynx because of the clarity and accessibility of the website. In addition it became apparent looking at the many lovely pictures and descriptions of the cats that Melissa provided her cats with a caring and loving home. As soon as I e-mailed Melissa with interest in a Sphynx, she responded and answered all my questions. Throughout the time we anxiously awaited our kitty,Melissa sent us repeated text’s and e-mails with updates and pictures of our growing Dwelf kitty. This was a great source of comfort and joy to us. Upon receiving our kitty Sunny we could not be any happier, she is truly the most well balanced and joyful of kittens. I am so happy to say that after months of anticipation I finally have my baby, Alien! Melissa was nothing but extraordinary throughout the entire breeding process. I cannot recommend this breeder enough! Melissa was always a message away and communication throughout the process was a breeze. We picked up our baby girl yesterday & she was freshly cleaned which I really appreciated! She also makes sure you have everything you need to be prepared and is very helpful. She really cares. Our baby was a bit timid when first coming home which was expected but now she’s running around, exploring, and playing 🙂 She’s trying to play with the screen as I type this lol. I cannot be more pleased with my sweet girl! Hopefully one day I will be back to get her a friend
This experience with Melissa has been nothing but ideal. She was so informative with each and every question I had! I received my baby boy last night and his demeanor is nothing less than perfection! Drogon has adapted extremely well to his new home with me and my current baby. I can’t stress enough how much of a reputable breeder Melissa is. We had the best experience with Melissa at House of Sphynx. We got the most beautiful kitten. Beforehand we communicated so much about what the expectations were for the kitten, exactly how to bathe and take care of her, what food she needed, what kind of bed she would get, she even gave us a list of the toys that they are used to so that we could get those exact things. we felt super prepared for the kitten when she arrived and she has been an angel. Not only that but Melissa would send us pictures of her before we got her home to show us her growth and how adorable she was. My daughters are absolutely in love and this has been a wonderful experience. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Melissa again.
I first noticed Eleanor June 4th and had her in my hands by June 28th so I didn’t have to wait long to get my adorable baby. I’ve always wanted either a white Sphynx or and odd-eye and Eleanor is both! Melissa is extremely responsive, a reputable breeder, and someone I would recommend any day of the week.
There was a bit of a hiccup with a couple of flights being canceled before we were able to get a successful flight (we chose delivery), but Melissa was communicating the whole time and was on a mission to get our kitty to her new home.
We love love our new little guy! (He was purchased for our daughter who is away at college). Working with Melissa was such a blessing. She was the most thorough and accommodating professional we have ever worked with via Facebook. (I promise). Her communication is A+++
She breeds cats because she love them, I can tell. The environments she raises them in is clean and accommodating, the cats are well groomed, and very well trained. Everything is super structured! She supplied us with all the info we needed to make sure we were ready once bringing him home. ( proper food, litter, vitamins, vet and insurance info).
I am beyond elated that we found her!! We are now considering buying one for our home and of course will go through Melissa. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Kudos!! Hands down if your looking for your Sphinx baby (standard, elf or bambino), she is your gal. You will be so happy with your experience and outcome!

I am so happy with my new baby elf Tortishell kitten! I had a great experience with Melissa. She was very responsive, answered all my questions and listened to all my concerns in regards to integrating the new kitten with my 11yr old part Sphynx. When my kitten was on her journey from Utah to Rhode Island both Melissa and the flight nanny sent me tons of pics and videos to let me know how she was doing. I've had her for 2 days now and she is amazing! Playful, talkative and so so sweet. Eating and drinking well, uses the cat box no problem and she's cute as can be! Thank you so much for everything! Highly recommend getting a kitty from Melissa at House of Sphynx!! I flew from Denver to Salt Lake to pick up my first Sphynx kitten and the whole process was seamless. I first reached out to Melissa after we lost our 9 month old Sphynx, Luna to FIP. Our hearts were broken n not sure if we could or would ever be able to find another kitty. Melissa reassured us that she had the perfect kitty with a two year guarantee which gave us a little more peace over purchasing another. My daughter has been wanting a hairless for awhile now. We researched for the breeder and right here at house of Sphynx was the best option! She made it such a great experience for my daughter and I. She educated us and walked us through so much as we waited for our baby to be ready. She was very prompt at replying to any questions and updated us often with photos and videos. Holy cow, she is an AMAZING breeder! We have waited a year to get our little boy and he is PERFECT! She takes very good care of all her cats and makes sure you know the personality of your cat before getting him.
She also bathes them weekly and keeps them very clean!
We even had the opportunity to go and play with him a few times before picking him up. She also takes very good care of you at answering all the questions you have and making sure you know how to care for your little guy once you have him.
We plan on getting a few more from her and I would HIGHLY recommend The House of Sphynx!

Today we welcomed Rojo to our family. Although we’re out of state from Melissa’s Cattery, the whole process was easy. We coordinated the travel and picked him up from the airport with no problem. I searched through multiple catteries before finding Melissa’s, and I’m so happy we found hers. Rojo is very active, happy, healthy, and extremely affectionate. He immediately warmed up to the family and is still exploring his new home. We’re excited for our next Sphynx to be joining us next month as well, and can’t wait for the entertainment with their energy 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you Melissa!
We have had such a wonderful experience working through the process preparing to welcome our first elf sphynx kitten into our family, that we decided to get 2 more!! Now we have 3 elf sphynx cats - a blue, an odd eye white, and a black one. Melissa has been absolutely amazing, sharing her knowledge and best practice as we were getting ready for the kitties. She was so accommodating and supporting throughout with each of the 3 cats we got. She ensured we got everything we needed to keep the kittens happy and healthy. Our kittens are absolutely amazing - super affectionate, healthy, happy and playful. I am so impressed how well behaved they are and that they had no problems getting used to their new home, and instantly using their new litter box without any accidents. All 3 definitely brought a lot of joy into our lives. I can’t recommend Melissa highly enough. She is the best! It is so clear to me that she truly loves and cares deeply for all her kittens and their well-being and the relationship continues. Regular care for your SPHYNX
I would recommend finding a Veterinary that has experience with hairless babies as they are a very exotic breed, you will also need to find a licensed cardiologist that can perform an Echocardiogram on your baby each year to make sure their hearts are staying healthy. I also would advise against FIP and FELV vaccines as they can be fatal if your kitten has been exposed to Coronavirus, approximately 90% of cats in a multi cat home have been exposed to, your kitten will break out with a fatal form of FIP if given this vaccine, and there is no treatment.
